Boosted by the strong community spirit of Whippety friends, Whippety will donate a percentage of profit to support the rescue, care and rehoming of persecuted Spanish galgos, who are unscrupulously used for hunting then cruelly discarded in rural areas. We want to help make a difference to the lives of our Whippety cousins.
Galgos are very similar in look and sweet personality to whippets. Although galgos live overseas, Whippety can support local Spanish organisations who rescue them from harsh rearing conditions and treatment meted out by many hunter-handlers 'galgueros' in their home country.
Galgos del Sol is a charity that helps abandoned galgos and podencos in Spain. It does amazing work to care and rehome them, as well as raise awareness of their plight through education programs.
